The section around the box culvert location was swampy ground that required substantial boulder bottoming to improve on the bearing capacity. The pavement structure is hand packed stone sub base and base and asphaltic concrete wearing course.

Drainage structures comprise of pipe culverts Invert block drains and slotted drains.
