Description
The works comprised of the construction of 90 meter steel Bailey bridge on reinforced concrete abutments and piers in Meru National park across the Tana River.
The foundation were concrete pad foundations on rock except for one pier whose foundation was on 600mm diameter concrete bored piles.
There were road approaches 5 km long and extensive river and bridge protection works.
